This season marks Denise’s 25th season with the Gros Morne Theatre Festival – and 35 years in professional theatre. Denise has worked for Neptune Theatre, Mermaid Theatre of NS, Festival Antigonish, and Opera East, and has taught stage management, props, and drafting at Memorial University, Grenfell Campus, Department of Theatre.
During her 25 years with TNL, Denise has held many positions – Stage Manager, Designer, Props Builder, Production & Company Manager, Theatre Liaison (for the new theatre construction) – and now General Manager. And, through TNL youth programming, she has become a theatre mentor for the youth of the Gros Morne Region – teaching drama classes and workshops in technical theatre and assisting with play production for the high school drama troupe.
Originally from Bridgewater, Nova Scotia, Denise has called Cow Head “home” since 2006. In her spare time, Denise loves beachcombing, doing crafts, and spending time with her dog, Riley.
