Leahdawn Helena (she/they/nekm) was born and raised on the west coast of Ktaqmkuk, colonially known as Newfoundland, and is trained as an actor, writer, director, and dramaturge. They hold a BFA in Theatre and a BA in Sociocultural Studies from Memorial University Grenfell Campus.
Their play, Stolen Sisters (Breakwater Books) premiered in 2022. Their most recent acting credits include Boon (Braiding Peonies, 2025), Shanawdithit (Nsituninal, 2024), Lucy White (To the Girls, 2021, 2023), and Woman in a Red Dress (Stolen Sisters, 2022, 2023, 2024). L’nuit. Tleiawit Nujio’qonik. They are L’nu. They have family roots in the Bay St George region.
