Though born on the island, Rhonda Payne grew up elsewhere and wanted to reconnect with her home. In the late 1970s she travelled up and down the Great Northern Peninsula talking to women she met about their lives. Stars in the Sky Morning follows five women who navigate limited life choices as they grow up on the GNP. 

Dolls are a grand luxury. Brides are 15. Pies are auctioned. Doctors take days to reach.
